Stone 122

Stone 122 fell, along with Stone 22, on 31st December 1900. Stone 122 broke when it hit the already fallen stones of the West Trilithon (Stones 57, 58 and 158) which had fallen in 1797. Prior to the re-erection of Stones 21, 22 and 122 in the 1950s, the two parts of Stone 122 had to be pinned and glued back together. The evidence of this repair is clearly visible.
